Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Overland Corporation, W9126G-08-D-0083, DS01, Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) As part of Operations and Maintenance, Army, Recovery Act, this modification has been issued to Overland Corporation, to perform the following work: (1) Canton Cable Barrier: The Phase 3 design called for approximately 5,125 LF of guardrail on Thunder Road at Canton to replace substandard rail on both sides of the road. The existing roadway width is only 24 FT. Guardrail installation per ODOT Standards requires 1 FT clear space outside the back of guardrail post, an 8 inch post, 8 inch block out, and 3 inch rail element. The resulting driving width for two way traffic after guardrail installation to Oklahoma Department of Transporation Standards would only be 19 FT, and would be too narrow to accommodate two way traffic. Therefore cable barrier substitution was proposed in lieu of guardrail, and any cost savings would be applied to replacement cable barrier parts and training. (2) Broken Bow Electric Conduit: The Phase 3 design calle for an existing high voltage line that was attached to existing guardrail to be removed from the guardrail and buried under ground. When the contractor for the guardrail contract arrived on site at Broken Bow, another contractor had already performed the work under a different contract. It was therefore decided install additional needed guardrail in lieu of the conduit work.
