- Description
- The Department of Veteran Affairs, VA Medical Center Minneapolis, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 anticipates soliciting proposals and consequently awarding a contract for all labor, materials, tools and equipment to prepare the site for the installation of interactive televisions. Award is contemplated to a contractor for preparation of the site for new TV ™s and equipment. A selected contractor will provide new outlets for the TV ™s, racks, and power supplies; remove existing television brackets; patch finishes. These portions of the project will require coordination and field verification. The layout of power to racks in the head-end room may require some basic design decisions as well. This portion of the project will be Phase 1. This project also includes a Phase 2 design/build portion to provide adequate cooling for the head-end room. This requires site investigation, an HVAC design with drawing submissions, and construction work. The outlet installation portion of this project needs to be completed as quickly as possible, and work shall begin as soon as possible after project award. This should be done concurrently with the HVAC design work. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated with procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. The Contractor shall provide all design, labor and materials as required by the project drawings and specifications. The anticipated period of performance is 155 days for the entire project. Magnitude of Construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code is 236220. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about June 28, 2011. A site visit will be scheduled on or about July 6, 2011. These dates are not firm and may change due to unforeseen events. Proposals will be due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No proposers list is maintained. All interested vendors should register on this website. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access in FedBiz Opps. CCR and Vetbiz registration must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
