- Lead Climbing Additional Requirements 8. Provide improvised lead climbing techniques and procedures using non-standard climbing equipment (military/special operations standard). Climbing using little or no actual climbing gear. 9. Night time lead climbing procedures utilizing Night vision goggles (NVGs). Special Operations load bearing equipment and weapons. 10. Provide specific route selection in order maintain stealth, concealment and avoid detection. 11. Hauling tactical equipment and injured personnel using non standard techniques, equipment and gear. 12. Requires knowledge in Nuclear, Biological and Chemical environment as it applies to climbing and mountain mission profile. 13. Aide climbing using non-standard equipment and techniques. 14. Provide instruction to give students the ability to lead multi-pitch climbs with no prior experience while carrying tactical equipments. 15. Allow students to lead multi-pitch climbs before end of course. 16. Improve students up to 2 skills level. 17. Instructors must demonstrate expert knowledge and experience level specific to Red Rocks.
