- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Prairie Breeze, LTD., W912BV-09-C-1017, Civil Works As part of Operations and Maintenance, Army, Recovery Act, this modification has been issued to Prairie Breeze, LTD, to perform the following work: 1. Replace the specified hydraulic storm brake for the tailrace with drop pins for the intake and tailrace cranes. The drop pins shall include limit switches to prevent the gantry from moving while drop pins are engaged. 2. Provide new windows in the sides of the intake crane cab to improve operator vision. 3. Provide a new ladder, platform, and door for the tailrace crane to improve access. 4. Provide three new 1/2 ton electric chain hoists for the gantry cranes for maintenance purposes. The hoists shall include a chain bucket, sixty feet of vertical lift, and 110 volt pendent controls. The hoists shall be hook mounted to the existing rails in the weather covers. 5. Provide wiring changes to cut power to PLC and panel equipment while maintaining power to the air conditioning units. 6. Provide the following spare parts: Translater Board - 178-01068 RF Moduel - 20748T(451.1876 MHz) 8NO Output Board - 46S022-0010 CPU - 178-0167-0020 Power Supply - 178-01489(4333686 & 434818) Power Supply - 22126T(392151 & 392153) Door Switch - 009-9358 Managed Switch - 113-10577 DC Power Supply - 144-12349 E-Stop Button - 144-10643 Intake Work Light Bulbs (2) - 2V659/1000 Watt Limit Switch, SPDT - 4B803 Intake Cab Air Conditioner - PTC153E50A Tailrace Gantry Air Conditioner - 144-14856 7. Provide aluminum handrails that surround all six intake roller gate slots. Handrails shall be continuous between the slots. Provide aluminum handrails that are continuous along the downstream side of the six intake bulkhead gate slots. Handrails shall be continuous between the slots. The railing shall be 1-1/2 inch diameter. The railing shall meet the requirements of the Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, EM 385-1-1 (Sep 2008 edition). Installation of handrails is by others.
