- This project involves the restoration of two (2) sites in Hampton County, South Carolina for the A. G. Burris WRP Restoration Project. Major items of work for sites 1 and 2 include: repairing 200 feet of existing dike section around water control structures for each site; conducting cleanout of existing water control structures at each site; installing 50 feet chain link fences on front slope of dike at water control structures at each site; fabricating and installing beaver control structures at each site; and repairing small holes along the dike by filling and compacting with bentonite at Site 2. Performance time for this project is 45 calendar days (including mobilization). The estimated price is in the range of $30,000 to $150,000. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 237990. This solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fbo.gov, on or about June 29, 2011. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting and site showing on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the WRP site in Cummings, South Carolina. Cummings is located approximately 9 miles east of the town of Hampton and approximately 9 miles west of the town of Yamassee on Highway 68 in Hampton County, South Carolina. Once in Cummings, South Carolina, turn north on Bubba's Drive (State Road S 25-541) and travel about ¾ of a mile. The entrance gate to the WRP site will be located on your right under the transmission line. After a brief meeting regarding the bidding process and a review of specifications, a site showing will follow.
