- Amendment 3 This is a pre-solicitation notice for construction services within the Yakama Indian Health Clinic. Award of this project is restricted to HubZone small businesses. Location and background: The Yakama Clinic is located on the Yakama Indian Reservation at 401 Buster Road, Toppenish, Washington, approximately 145 miles east-northeast of Portland, Oregon. This facility was originally constructed in 1990, is maintained and operated by the Indian Health Service (IHS) and consists of four buildings totaling approximately 53,600 square feet (4980 m2). The Yakama Indian Health Clinic provides direct health care to patients and is approximately 40,416 square feet (3,755 m2). The work is part of a renovation and expansion project with the intent to improve the operability and patient care of the clinic. The work includes replacing the current Siemens direct digital controls building automation system, ductwork modifications throughout the clinic, replacement of air handler dampers and terminal units, installation of solar attic fans, test and balance of the ventilation system, and a phased renovation construction throughout approximately 8,000 square feet (about 20% of the total clinical area) of space. The renovation includes tear down and construction of interior space to serve the Pharmacy, Contract Health Service, Administration staff and Provider Office Space. The affected areas for renovation are within various locations throughout the clinic. The clinic will remain operational during construction. The work includes coordination with the IHS relocation schedule of departments from current space to the newly renovated spaces. This is not an invitation for bid (IFB). An IFB will be posted on www.fbo.gov on or around February 28, 2010, at which point interested parties may download bid sets at no charge for up to 30 calendar days thereafter. Bid opening will be on or around March 30, 2011. The performance period will be 335 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The general magnitude of this work is valued near $1 million. All interested, qulified, HubZone small businesses should add their name to the Interested Vendors List at www.fbo.gov under solicitation number 11-102-SOL-00001.
