- Please note that this is NOT a request for proposals. The VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven is seeking sources that are verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision, to completely prepare a site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, for project #689-375, Intensive Care Unit Step-Down Expansion, in accordance with drawings and specifications, at the VA Medical Center, West Haven, Connecticut. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, and necessary removal of structures and new construction. In order to be responsive to this Sources Sought notice you must be verifiable or verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation 804.1102 and comply with the requirements of Public Law 109-461. The project cost range is between: $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The estimated completion period for this work, including inspection and final cleanup, is 545 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a Sources Sought notice in accordance with the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. It is to synopsize a possible future RFP solicitation. This RFI is issued solely for information only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought Announcement. All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit their capabilities in regard to the above no later than close of business June 17, 2011. Please include your company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contact, proof of CVE verification, and documentation addressing the ability to meet the requirements of Public Law 109-461; specifically for general construction 15 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or of other eligible SDVOSB. The same requirements apply for VOSB. Sources interested in this acquisition should adequately describe their experience performing this type of requirement. Interested sources should ensure that registration in CCR is current and accurate and they are verified or can become verified in Vet biz as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses.
