- Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, administration, and management necessary to replace the existing infrared heating system in Bldg. 125, Robins AFB, GA. All responsible HUBZone certified sources may submit a Proposal. The Government anticipates award of one Firm Fixed Price Contract as a result of this Solicitation. No Government office space will be provided. Work includes repair/upgrade of supporting gas and electrical lines and installation of 24 new infrared heaters and 8 air turnover units. Work will also require replacing the building's main pressure regulating valve with a larger capacity unit to cover warm-up conditions. Normal operations will not require more natural gas than originally planned for the infrared heating system. To keep what little heat is still in service, most of the new equipment will be installed before demolition of the old. Prices will be requested for two Items; the first Item will require completion of all work in 190 calendar days (new work completed in 130 calendar days), and the second Item will require completion of all work in 160 calendar days (new work completed in 100 calendar days). Contract award will be based on "Price". The Government will choose which item to award, based on the Government's requirement at that time. The Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The official copy of the Solicitation will not be available on compact disk (CD-ROM) or paper. To be eligible for Contract award, prospective Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. The estimated issue date of the Solicitation is 22 Jun 2011 with an estimated 30 calendar day response period.
