Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer a question posed by a potential quoter. Q. Does independent selection and deposition mean that the controller shall be able to select only one material or more than one material at a time? Are you looking for a system that could deposit one, two, three, or four materials at a time? A. Only one material at a time is required, but the system shall be able to switch between materials without breaking vacuum and deposit using a common focal point. Switching time between sources should be <1 minute from de-energizing one source to energizing another. Q. Also, since the chamber is being manufactured separately and therefore we cannot test the system before delivery, will it be your responsibility to achieve those base pressures in your facility so long as we deliver a system consistent with achieving those base pressures? A. The e-gun system shall be constructed of materials and in a design understood in the industry to be "UHV compatible" and an equivalent model shall have, in the manufacturer's test facility, been shown to reach 5 x 10^-11 Torr. In the event the manufacturer states compatibility using other techniques or designs than those uniformly established as "UHV compatible," then prior performance shall be demonstrated. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation, including closing date and time, remain unchanged and in full effect.
