- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA North Texas Health Care System, VISN 17, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Maquet Inc., 45 Barbour Pond Road, Wayne, NJ for the installation of Dual Minor Lights in the Research Animal Facility at VA North Texas Health Care System, 4500 Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX 75216. NAICS 238210 applies. Period of Performance shall be from the date of award, to completion. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. There are no distributors for this product in the US. Maquet, Inc is the direct sales and service unit for the factory. In order to have a valid warranty the equipment must be installed by Maquet trained and certified personnel. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet these requirements may give written notification through e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Frank.Fullbright@va.gov or faxed to Frank Fullbright at (214)857-0027 no later than June 10, 2011 at 2pm CST. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
