- This is a sole-source synopsis that provides tentative notification of theSpace and Naval Warfare System Center Atlantics intent to extend contract N65236-05-D-6850, web development, technical/site support, user training, data integration/legacy application support, graphic design, Help Desk support, hardware support, and computer programming for a period of twelve months. The period of performance for this extension will be from 16 August 2011 to 15 August 2012. This extension is needed to satisfy the AC2E Division and IT Operations Branch requirement until award of SSC LANT solicitation; N65236-09-R-0207 can be completed. Not awarding a twelve extension would cause negative impact to the government. The extension will be performed by the incumbent contractor, CSSI Inc., 400 Virginia Avenue SW, Suite 710, Washington, DC 20024-2520. The extension will provide for the continuation of uninterrupted services to the SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic Aviation Platform Engineering and Integration (APEI) Divisions and IT Operations Branchs commitment to the military services and ATC community. This twelve-month extension of services is accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, " as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required during the extension period would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
