- Concerns having the ability to furnish a five year service and maintenance agreement for a Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer, serial number 22111-430, described herein are requested to give written notification to Dave Sudduth, Contract Specialist, Fort Collins Science Center (FORT), Fort Collins, CO, 80526, phone number 970-226-9289, within 15 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. The U.S. Geological Survey, Fort Collins Science Center is seeking a five year service and maintenance agreement for an Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer, serial number 22111-430 which includes the following elements: 1. Parts, labor and travel for remedial repair.2.No charge for planned maintenance visits. 3.Guaranteed priority response time of 2 business days after receipt of a service call for instruments located in designated zones. If service provider failures to arrive at the instrument location with designated zone within 2 business days for reasons other than customers failure to provide access to equipment or causes beyond the reasonable control of service agent, service provider will provide customer a service plan renewal credit in an amount equivalent to one days prorated charge for each day service provider is late.4.Target response time of 3 business days for remedial repairs outside of designated zone. Service provider will use reasonable efforts to respond within 3 business days from receipt of a service call.5.Priority telephone and email access to instrument technical support6.Telephone and email access to application technical support.7.Service provider must provide remote monitoring, which provides for notification to customer of instrument failures or errors that at reported by service providers monitoring software. Based on the information at this time, the Government considers the service specified as a sole source from Applied Biosystems, North American Sales and Service, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404 USA and proposes to negotiate a contract with the firm on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required product are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no solicitation document exists, request for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration. This notice may represent the Governments only official notice of this procurement.
