Description

RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS. Question 1 We and our suppliers could not find enough information on painting and the head dresses. Are there any special provisions for this work that we are missing? RESPONSE: No painting of the head dresses. They shall be fabricated with corrosion resistant steel. Question 2 The bid schedule shows a "Class 6 color finish, Bridge only" for Bid Item No. 55201C - Select Concrete Surfaces and a bid quantity of 6,133 square feet. What is a Class 6 color finish and where is it to be applied and / or installed on the bridge? RESPONSE: Refer to special contract requirements, subsection 552.16, page 77 and FP-03 subsection 552.16 (f). Question 3 The plans and specs do not give any specifics on painting the bridge (color and type paint) or if the head dresses are plasma cut or painted on or what. RESPONSE No painting of the head dresses. They shall be fabricated with corrosion resistant steel. No requirement on how they are to be cut-out. Question 4 Can you tell me how many of each head dress (shown on sheets 23 and 27 of the drawings), the finish and/or color scheme, and whether they are plates with flat cut outs or the actual cut outs that will attached to the bridge railings. RESPONSE 5 Each. No painting of the head dresses. They shall be fabricated with corrosion resistant steel. Actual cut-outs
