- Description
- The purpose of this project is to provide pole work converting the pole-mounted distribution system in a portion of the V-Area from 2.4 KV to 13.8 KV. The portion of the V-Area includes Bldgs 333, 334, 337 and 341. This will involve the installation of some new poles, pole hardware, insulators, crossarms, crossarm braces, pole mounted transformers, arrestors, guys, and fused cutouts. Demolition of 2.4KV related items is also included. The work also includes providing 3 new pad mounted transformers, along with related service wiring changes inside the buildings. This project will require design-build services to design and perform the electrical work. The contractor will provide design, drawings, and specifications of the proposed project. The rough order of magnitude for this proposed procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This procurement is set aside to small business, NAICS code 238210/$14,000,000. The solicitation, scope of work and specifications will be available on or about June 15, 2011. The solicitation and specification will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. The solicitation shall be issued via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi and http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any changes to the solicitation shall also be posted to these websites. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check these sites daily for any posted changes. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of the of the same.
