- ANNOUNCEMENT: SPECIAL NOTICE ACTION CODE: NOTICE OF INTENT CLASSIFICATION CODE: 65 - Medical, Dental & Veterinary Equipment & Supplies SUBJECT: Philips Healthcare MP50 Monitors SOLICITATION NUMBER: W91YTZ-RKB-11-9900 RESPONSE DATE: June 10, 2011 CONTACT POINTS: Keith Batchelor, Contract Specialist, Keith.Batchelor@us.army.mil DESCRIPTION: ***The Healthcare Acquisition Activity-North (HCAA), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106 - 1 (b)(1), with Philips Healthcare 3000 Minuteman Road, MS 0400 Andover, MA 01810-1099 for the purchase of IntelliVue MP50. *** ***The Sole Source determination is based on Philips Healthcare being the orginal equipment manufacturer of the IntelliVue MP50, capable in providing the system and maintaenance service in accordance with the equipment specifications. Philips Healthcare is the only authorized vendor capable in providing the required equipement and maintance.*** ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, MOUNTAIN HOME AFB ID, and is required within 4 weeks after receipt of an order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by June 10, 2011.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
