- This synopsis/solicitation has been posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that the FBO is the simple point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case the FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). NSWCCD Philadelphia intends to procure technical services, under full and open competition, to accomplish the removal of various propulsion components from CG Class ship(s), which are located at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center (PNBC) Reserve Basin. The services procured will require the dry docking of at least one with a potential maximum of three CG Class ship(s) and the removal of the Power Transmission system, including but not limited to the main propulsion shafting, main reduction gear, controllable pitch propeller (CPP), rudder assembly, main propulsion engine, and gas turbine generator. The Award document will be in the form of a Firm Fixed Price Contract with options. The full solicitation will be available for download on June 20, 2011 or there soon after.
