- Southern Region Contracting Office - East intends to award a contract under FAR Part 6.302-1 to Hologic, Inc., for a one time move, service and recalibration of two mammography units located at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Georgia. The move and service of the mammorgraphy systems requires Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) parts replacement and support of trained technicians. Contractor shall provide services in compliance with the Customer Maintenance Plan for the move and re-calibration of all parts, all labor and travel charges, unlimited telephonic technical support, and priority customer response. The contractor will provide: all required parts to move the equipment and calibrate in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, priority phone support along with continuous product information updates and bulletins. Hologic is the OEM of the repair parts and provides manufacturer trained technicians for the equipment to be covered and serviced. Hologic has OEM factory trained personnel who have immediate access to the OEM parts. The parts used in moving and calibrating these units are proprietary to them. Failure to use the OEM parts will not work on the existing equipment. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Hologic is the only source of authorized replacement parts for these two units that are already in place. The proposed contract action will award to only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
