- Qualifications: 1) Demonstrated ability to design High Voltage/Medium Voltage (HV/MV) substation electrical equipment including engineering, replacement and installation of existing protective relays, HMI, annunciation panels, testing and commissioning, solid understanding of electrical theory and acceptable construction practices. Ability to provide the needed construction support including review of design, engineering, testing, commissioning to safely execute the work in accordance with the completion schedule. 2) Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in the design of HV/MV electrical substation equipment, field inspection and electrical testing and commissioning. Relevant experience with Schweitzer (SEL) protective relay equipment, HMI, annunciator panels and interfaces. Scope of Work: Attend meetings. Review As built drawings prepared by the construction subcontractor based on field survey prior to demolition of existing protective relays. Review Shop Drawings for the new transformer protective relay single line and 3 line diagrams, control wiring diagrams, and point to point wiring diagrams. Review coordination study and relay settings. Respond to RFIs. Attend one HMI test at SEL in Vacaville, CA.
