- Magnitude above ($500k-$1M) added on 3-21-11 has changed: Estimated cost of the proposed construction is between $250,000 - $750,000. An organized site visit has been scheduled for -- Wednesday, June 15, 2011 / 9:00 AM MDT Participants will meet at Ludlow Community Center NOTE: "The Riley Pass Uranium Mines Site (the "Site") is located on the Custer National Forest in the North Cave Hills area of Harding County, South Dakota. The Site is approximately 100 miles north of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, 25 miles north of Buffalo, South Dakota, and 30 miles south of Bowman, North Dakota. The nearest town is Ludlow, South Dakota, which is approximately 5 miles to the east. The Site can be accessed by driving north from Ludlow on U.S. Highway 85 and turning west onto Tufte Road, which generally follows Section lines until it reaches the National Forest boundary near the mined areas. For the June 15, 2011 Site Visit, interested parties should meet Forest Service personnel at 9:00 AM MDT in the parking lot of the Ludlow Community Center and Ludlow School, which is on the east side of US Highway 85 in Ludlow, SD."
