Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: This solicitation is re-posted with a new closing date of 13 June 2011 at 02:00 PM EST. ************************************************** The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to solicit on a 100% small business set-aside basis, a set of radiation check sources. The Navy uses check sources to perform necessary radiation detection equipment testing and evaluation. All check sources shall be certified by and traceable to the National Institute of Standards (NIST). Complete specifications for this procurement will be issued in the solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334515 with a size standard of 500 employees. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13, and award a firm-fixed-price purchase order. Upon its release, the solicitation will be made available electronically via the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizops.com) and the Navy Electronic Commerce website (www.neco.navy.mil). A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instructions. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 15 April 2011.
