Description

SUBJECT LINE: NOTICE IF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER FOR RENWEAL SUBSCRIPTION TO I H S GLOBAL, INC. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) with I H S Global Inc.., for subscription renewal of access to McCloskey's Nuclear Business. The period of performance for this proposed acquisition is 12 months (9/1/11-8/31/12). Based on NRC's market research, this renewal is only available directly from I H S Global, Inc. and has not identified any other sources; however, any responsible sources that can demonstrate that they, too, can provide the required renewal may respond to this notice to so indicate. Any such response to this notice must be in writing and must include clear and convincing evidence of that capability to provide the required renewal, including written authorization from I H S Global, Inc. to offer that renewal. Written responses must be submitted to wanda.brown@nrc.gov so that it is received at that email address no later than June 6, 2011. A determination whether to compete this requirement will be based on whether other responsible, authorized sources are identified as a result of this notice; and are within the discretion of the Government to be considered solely for the purpose to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
