- This Sources Sought is being issued by the United States Department of Agricultural (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Poultry (PY) Programs, Commodity Procurement Branch (CPB), Room 3932-S, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20250-0256, is seeking to increase the agency's vendor base for qualified Small Businesses (all types) and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) who service under the NAICS Code - 311615 - Poultry Processing, and 311999- All Other Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing. Manufacturers must be small businesses (under 500 employees) and be approved in accordance with the AMS, PY, CPB website "Vendor Qualification Requirements dated April 2010" link located at: http://www.ams.usda.gov/AMSv1.0/ams.fetchTemplateData.do?template=TemplateN&page=CPDNewVendorInfo. All vendors responding to this publication must complete the required documents, as specified on this website. The site will refer to the completion and submission of specific documentation and the registration into Federally-sponsored databases. AMS seeks all vendors who are manufacturers and non-manufacturers of poultry and egg products. Small manufacturers are sought that produce the following chicken products: consumer pack cut-up chicken, consumer pack whole chicken, canned chicken, frozen cooked diced chicken, and chicken fajita strips. Sources are being sought for the following turkey products: deli-style turkey breast, smoked deli-style turkey breast, frozen turkey roasts, turkey taco filling, and smoked turkey hams. Sources are being sought for the following egg products: all-purpose egg mix, shell eggs, and liquid whole eggs. All processed poultry and egg products purchased by USDA must be of 100% domestic origin. This request is for information only; proposals are not being requested nor will they be accepted in response to this synopsis. No contracts will be awarded solely on the basis of the responses to this synopsis. A comprehensive list of approved Small and SDVOSBs vendors responding to this publication will be forwarded to Agency Contracting Officers for consideration in future and ongoing Invitation for Bid (IFB) contract opportunities. The resulting list is intended to assist procurement officials within the agency in meeting mandatory small business goals for FY 2010 awards.
