- The intent of this notice is to inform the contracting community that the Walla Walla VA Medical Center intends to enter into a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) sole source contract for the temporary staffing service of an intermittent boiler tender. The proposed RFQ is to be issued to Dave Johnson, 1417 Topaz Ave, Walla Walla, WA 99362. The contractor shall provide the necessary service to maintain full operability of the boiler plant located at the VA Medical Center, 77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla, WA 99362. The period of performance will be from 06/15/2011 through 06/14/2012 for a base year, with four (4) one (1) year options at the discretion of the VA Medical Center. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 and the size standard is $14.0 million. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(5) Authorized or Required by Statute - PL 109-461 and VAAR 819.7007. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued via Federal Business Opportunities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based on PL 109-461 and VAAR 819.7007.
