- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT: The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau, (BBG/IBB) intends to award a non-competitive, contract to COMTECH EFDATA CORP. in accordance with 41 USC 253 (c) (1), other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), 'only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the governments requirements.' COMTECH EFDATA CORP. is the only firm capable of meeting BBG's requirement for providing Radyne C-Band Upconverter, Part #SFC6400A. This contract will include 8 ea. Radyne C-Band Upconverter, Part #SFC6400A Item 1: 'SFC6400A Up-Converter Base Unit Standard Gain (30 dB), 125 KHz Step (Standard)70 MHz IF Frequency, 75 Ohm IF Impedence'. 'Qty 8 ea. Item 2: SFC4200A.1A2SS77000000.SS00000, 'SFC4200A Base UnitStandard Radyne Logo, 100-240 VAC Primary Input Power, 3.4 - 4.2 GHz RF Frequency Range 40 dB Gain, 125 KHz Step (Standard)70 MHz IF Frequency, 75 Ohm IF Impedence, None/No Redundancy - Blank Rear Panel'. Qty 8 ea. FOB Origin - Sterling, Va. A Firm-Fixed Price contract will be awarded. Interested firms or persons may however, identify their interest and capability to the above stated Contracting Officer. All such proposals for consideration must be received by the Government by 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on or about June 15, 2011. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received from interested firms responding to this notice must be sufficient in detail to afford evaluation without added submission as the information submitted will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any questions regarding this Notice shall be in writing and submitted to the Contracting Officer, Wayne Greene, via E-mail: wgreene@bbg.gov. This notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.
