- Transitional Housing Specialist: The purpose of this contract is to engage a community provider (Contractor) who will assist Veterans and their families with housing placement assistance consistent with HUD-VASH program objectives. The goal of this contract is to rapidly assess, place, and maintain Veterans referred by VA staff into Section 8 eligible, permanent housing. Through this contract, the VA seeks to support HUD-VASH by expediting placement of Veterans and their families in affordable, permanent housing. This housing must meet the criteria for inclusion in HUD's Section 8 voucher program. Task 1: Identification of Section 8 Eligible Housing Units Task 2: Placement of Veterans in Section 8 Housing Units Task 3: Status Reports
