- PRE-COMMERCIAL THINNING. The Forest Service intends to release Solicitation AG-4146-S-11-0004, for Pre-commercial Thinning with hand tools and slash treatment on the Talladega National Forest. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision to complete the project in accordance with specifications. If the solicitation is released, it will be released within the next 14 days for viewing and printing through this FedBizOpps website. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the internet. Quotes will be due on July 15, 2011. The Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. The project is located in Calhoun and Cleburne Counties, Alabama and is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive any contract award, vendors must have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases.
