- Description
- The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time. This project is for the repair of CATM Pistol Range and Pistol Range Floor at Malmstrom AFB, (Great Falls) Montana. Work consists of the contractor providing all labor, equipment, transportation, materials, quality control and supervision necessary to conduct all requirements in accordance with the project specifications, drawings and blueprints. The purpose of the project is to upgrade the CATM Pistol Range to provide a facility that meets the requirements for a fully contained range. This project requires the demolition of the existing baffles, sidewalls, bullet catcher and the front wall of the existing firing line. The existing facility will be reconfigured to meet the necessary spacing requirement of ETL 08-11. A structural concrete floor (Approximately 11,500 SF) on drilled piers (21 @ 18" dia. by 25' deep piers and 63 @ 12" dia. by 20' deep piers) will be constructed over the entire length of the range. Eight overlapping overhead baffles made of AR500 steel will be constructed over the entire range. Precast concrete retaining walls will be installed along the entire length of both sides of the range. A new bullet catch will be installed. New lighting will be installed throughout the range and a new storm water collection system and pond covering approximately 45,000 SF will be constructed. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about 21 Jun 2011. The Request for Proposal will close on or about 21 Jul 2011. The Performance Period for this project is two hundred twenty (220) calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued within 10 days after award of the solicitation. This acquisition is set aside for small business in accordance with the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010. The Request for Proposal will be available by Electronic Transmission only at: http://www.fbo.gov. Potential contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award. (See Internet Site: http://ccr.edi.disa.mil/ccragent/p/sq1/ccr.welcome ). All responsible sources must submit an offer good through 120 calendar days after proposal closing date, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential contractors must also be currently registered with ORCA. (See Internet Site: http://orca.bpn.gov/ ). The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00
