- Sole Source Justification PROPOSED SOLE SOURCE SOLICITATION: Busek Co. Inc. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). Proposed source is Busek Co. Inc. (CAGE: 0T2F0, NAICS: 334511). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations: however, all quotations/responses received within seven (7) days of issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. Further determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be faxed to Andy Vanover, ASC/PKOB, 937-656-1412 or e-mailed to gary.vanover@wpafb.af.mil no later than 3 June 2011. Only proposals received by this date will be considered. Any questions should be directed to Andy Vanover at gary.vanover@wpafb.af.mil. The Operational Contracting Division of Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the following requirement: CLIN 0001: The replacement of the emitter tube assembly for two (2) customer owned BHC-1500 cathodes. One cathode will be delivered as soon as possible. Both cathodes will be completed no later than two (2) weeks following receipt of the customer cathode or receipt of order, whichever occurs later. Refurbished cathode shall ship priority overnight to the customer designated point of contact at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Hall Effect Thruster Control System: Circuit to measure the discharge current AC component and a control algorithm to adjust the magnet current, including User Manual that describes the system, installation requirements and general option. Delivery shall be complete within eight (8) weeks following receipt of order. Control system shipped to the customer designated point of contact at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Within 30 days from hardware and data delivery, the contractor shall provide not to exceed (NTE) two (2) days on site support for initial installation and operation. The specific dates shall be scheduled at a time convenient to Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT).
