- Description
- This solicitation is for the procurement of LED Taxiway Lighting fixtures for all Continental United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) Air Force installations. The required LED Taxiway Lighting fixtures are commercial in nature; therefore, FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items shall apply to this acquisition. The Air Force contemplates a multiple award, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the purpose of meeting an Air Force-wide requirement to convert airfield taxiway lighting to FAA-approved LED fixtures. The anticipated contract will have one 5-year ordering period. Future delivery orders will be competed among contract awardees for the duration of the contract. The solicitation will be a Full and Open competition that anticipates two contract awards. Contract awards will only be made to Offerors who can provide all configurations for both types of LED taxiway lighting fixtures, L-861T and L-852T, to all of the Continental United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) Air Force installations. The Air Force anticipates release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) on 1 Jun 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 335129 - other lighting equipment. The size standard is 500 employees. Anticipated contract award date is 1 August 2011. This solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds. Funding will be made available at contract award to cover the minimum order quantity specified in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered. Offerors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) for the posted solicitation and any subsequent amendments. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, the Offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. To register, you may apply online at http://www.ccr.gov. Offerors must also complete the annual Representations and Certifications electronically in the ORCA database at http://www.bpn.gov/orca. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Government's ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
