- Description
- The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Northeast Region has a requirement for Construction Services for upgrading furnace and air conditioning units at two buildings (residences) within the Patuxent Research Refuge in Laurel, MD. It includes removal and disposal of existing oil furnaces, supply and installation of new hybrid heat split system (heat pump/AC unit and LPG furnaces) and associated work. This procurement is a small business set aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation package, including technical specifications, drawings and proposal documents will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about June 10, 2011. The period of performance is 8 weeks after notice to proceed. Proposals will be due on July 1, 2011 by 4:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time). Interested contractors must be registered at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov and complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov, to be eligible for award. A site visit can be arranged between June 10 - 24th, 2011 by contacting POC listed on Statement of Work. Location of site visit is Patuxent Research Refuge, Laurel, MD. Department of Labor Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply to this work. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
