- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), Arnold AFB TN intends to award a contract to ABB Automation Inc, 1403 Coventry Ct. Woodstock, GA 30189. This requirement is for hardware products to be used on the existing ABB/Bailey control system. These items include one (1) Power Supply, Part No. PHARPS3200000; one (1) Controller Bridge, Part No. PHCBRC30000000; and one (1) INFI-NET Computer Transfer Module, Part No. INICT13A. This synopsis is approved for a sole source contract action as authorized in FAR 6.302-1 (supplies or services are considered to be available from only one source). No solicitation package will be issued. However, all interested sources may identify their interest but must provide proof of capability to provide an acceptable product by submitting an accurate description of the equipment offered and make and model numbers of the equipment along with pricing data, and required warranties as identified below. Any responses received by a non-ABB manufacturer must include the following warranty items: a warranty that refurbished parts are 100% compatible with the current ABB system, and include a warranty that, at a minimum, is equal to the original manufacturer's commercial warranty. The proposed items must be considered acceptable substitutes by ABB via the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) model. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis. If no favorable responses are received by 2:00 PM CST on 28 June 2011, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source.
