- Description
- The USDA NRCS in New York is preparing to issue a solicitation for work authorized under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program due to recent heavy rain with resultant flooding conditions. This bank stabilization work is to relieve imminent hazards to life and property. The work consists of site dewatering, erosion and sediment control, installation of approximately 520 linear feet of sloped rock riprap, culvert outlet protection and seeding and plantings to stabilize the stream banks along a tributary to Cattaraugus Creek in both Irving, New York, and Seneca Nation of Indians land. Alternative payment protection in the amount of 100% of contract amount in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit will be required within 5 calendar days of award of contract. The location of the work sites will be within the flooded areas and as described in the solicitations. All necessary permits and land rights have been acquired. Please be advised that the successful bidder shall also comply with all the requirements of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). Information on TERO is located at: www.sni.org/node/99. A firm-fixed price award is anticipated. The solicitation package, construction drawings and specifications will be posted and available from this site on or about May 27, 2011. Bid opening will be on or about June 20, 2011. Pre-bid meeting for interested contractors will be held on June 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the multipurpose room of the Arena (west of the Administration Building) on the Seneca Nation of Indian Cattaraugus Territory, Route 438 -Four Mile Level Road, Irving, New York. Site shows will be conducted immediately following pre-bid meeting. Price range is $25,000 - 100,000 Maximum performance is 14 calendar days.
