- Proposal Checklist Solicitation The Department of Defense Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) intends to award a contract using FAR Part 12 and 15 procedures for school bus transportation services for eligible DoD dependent students attending DDESS Schools on Fort Knox and Fort Campbell. The period of performance will be one base year (15 July 2011 through 14 July 2012) with four 12-month option periods. The solicitation number is HEVAS6-11-R-0002 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Department of Defense Domestic Elementary and Secondary Schools is a federal government agency, an education activity, tax exempt, and qualified for academic/educational pricing.
