Description
The Oklahoma City VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK has a requirement to Upgrade Secondary Electrical Distribution System #2 at the main hospital building per the specifications and plans to be provided via electronically at www.fbo.gov. The solicitation issuance date is on or about June 6, 2011. Date for receipt of proposals will be on or about June 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM CST (dates subject to change, to be specified in the solicitation). The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, and travel necessary to perform this contract. The Scope of Work for this project includes (but is not limited to) some general construction, necessary removal of existing structures (electrical equipment and associated conduit and wiring), electrical work, transformers, switchgear, distribution panel boards, branch circuit panel boards and may include some future growth updates, and other items. Area of construction is approximately 1,500 sq.ft. PROSPECTIVE BIDDER NOTES: In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) construction firms. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizopps (www.fbo.gov) which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be one pre-bid site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. No additional pre-bid meeting or site visits will be held. Pre-bid site visit conference will be outlined in the solicitation. NOTE: The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 million applies. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and VetBiz Vendor Information Pages at www.vip.vetbiz.gov as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firm, and must have current record in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to bid opening. If you are not registered with CCR, you may request an application via phone at 1-888-227-2423 or register online at http://www.ccr.gov. To complete Representations and Certifications with ORCA, you may go online at https://orca.bpn.gov. All interested parties must register or be registered with Vets 100 at webpage http://www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fcp/main.htm Award will be contingent upon funding availability. In accordance with the class deviation to 804.1102 Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database effective October 1, 2010, all SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program. If the successful bidder is not listed as verified in the VIP, the CO must contact the bidder and advise the bidder that it has 5 days to submit the verification documentation to CVE. CVE will process the documents and make a verification determination within 21 days of receipt of the documentation. Your firm MUST currently be listed on the VIP to receive this consideration. SDVOSB or VOSB also must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible to receive an award under the program.
