- Solicitation The US Forest Service contemplates posting solicitation AG-0116-S-11-0091 Ward Lake Trail Reconstruction, Phase 1 on the Federal Business Opportunity website on or about May 27, 2011. We reserve the right not to release a solicitation. Project Description: The work is to reconstruct the portion of the Ward Lake Trail between the campground and the picnic shelters to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) standards. Major work items are aggregate base course and aggregate surfacing, stone rep-rap, and culvert replacement and installation; minor work items include tree removal, stump removal and ditching. Options items #1 is to install a paved trail to three shelters at the beach area. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and provisions of the contract. Solicitation Details: The following preliminary details are provided for the benefit of prospective bidders, but are subject to change in the actual solicitation. 1. Estimated price range: between $100,000 and $250,000 2. Contract type: firm-fixed-price. 3. Period of performance: 120 days from issuance of notice to proceed 4. Solicitation type: Request for Proposal 5. Prposals due date: 30 days after solicitation issuance 6. Contract award date: within 60 days 7. Required bonds: bid bond, performance and payment bonds 8. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
