- SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION - AMENDED: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 19 Rocky Mountain Network Contracting Center 4100 East Mississippi Avenue, Suite 900, Glendale, CO 80246 intends to solicit sources to enter into a firm-fixed price contract to provide Trash and Refuse Removal / Recycle Service for the VA Medical Center in Grand Junction, CO. Services shall be for a one year base period with four one-year pre-priced option periods for renewal. The solicitation package will be available for download on or about June 07, 2011. Proposals submitted shall be due no later than 4:30 p.m. mountain time on June 21, 2011. This solicitation is unrestricted and is subject to full and open competition. The applicable NAICS code is 562111 with a small business size standard of $12.5 million. The competition for this solicitation is unrestricted, however small businesses, women-owned businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses and small disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to submit offers. The solicitation reference is VA-259-11-RP-0017 “ Trash and Refuse Removal / Recycle Grand Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center (GJVAMC), and should be referenced in all correspondence/inquiries. Offeror is to provide compactor, dumpster and carts to be emptied as follows. Provide one eight (8) yard compactor dumped three (3) times per week OR provide one six (6) yard compactor; dumped four (4) times per week. Provide one six (6) yard waste container, dumped one (1) time per week. Provide 96 gallon recycle carts (12 carts, 96 gallons each) dumped one (1) time per week for aluminum, shredded paper, plastic and tin. Service will also require unscheduled pick up of trash/recycling at the request of the GJVAMC. Service is to be provided to the Grand Junction VA Medical Center, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at this website and offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to this solicitation at this website prior to the time of responding to the solicitation. Any questions pertaining to this solicitation must be provided to the contract specialist, in writing within seventy-two (72) hours of the posting of the solicitation, at either Pamela.Barnes@va.gov or the physical address listed herein to be considered for a response.
