- The Clearwater NF intends to issue one solicitation for the 2011 Road Decommissioning projects. There will be approximately 40 to 50 miles of road decommissioning in several bid items across the Forest. Each project area will be a separate bid item and multiple awards are expected to be made from the solicitation. Performance periods for all items are approximately from June through October, 2011. Project locations, detailed specifications, and contract performance requirements for each project will be included in the solicitation package. Road decommissioning treatments may include work items such as decompaction of roadways, strong outslopes, complete recontouring, drainage structure removal, fill material removal, stream channel restoration, grade control structures, seeding disturbed areas, and transplanting native forbs and shrubs.
