- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. This pre-solicitation notice supercedes the synopsis previously issued under W912PE-11-TBD on 20 May 2011. The Solicitation number is now W912PE-11-T-7021. The RCO Stuttgart, 409th Contracting Support Brigade (Europe) has a requirement for Weapons Racks and Accessories including shipment to store weapons with all customizable attachments within the USAG Stuttgart. Proposed weapons racks must provide weapon security according to military requirements for the physical security of conventional arms, ammunition and explosives and height restrictions in the arms rooms of the customer as later posted with the solicitation W912PE-11-TBD under Technical Specifications & Features. Delivery and Shipment are expected as soon as possible. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Solicitation No. W912PE-11-T-7021 will be issued as a Request for Proposal. An opportunity will be provided for a pre-proposal site visit on or about 03 June 2011 at USAG Stuttgart, Germany for a physical layout view of the arms rooms; however, detailed diagrams will also be listed in the solicitation. The Government will not reimburse potential offerors for pre-proposal site visit travel expenses. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3499, business size of 500 Size standards in number of employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 337215. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about Wednesday, 25 May 2011 at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (0711-729-4140), or e-mail. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. Anticipated award date will be on or around 30 June 2011. Point of contact is Ms. Misty E.
