- Statement of Work The Social Security Administration intends to issue on a sole-source basis a firm fixed priced purchase order to Time Warner Cable, Inc. to renew Cable TV/Broadband services at the Second Support Center (SSC) facility and construct the infrastructure for Cable TV/Broadband services for the Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility. Time Warner Cable is the only cable provider that is authorized to access public and private utility systems to distribute the signal to the SSC and RTP buildings. The initial period of performance is for 12 months, beginning July 30, 2011 - September 29, 2012, with four 12-month option periods. Pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements for the above-cited requirement. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government's intent to renew current service and construct a new infrastructure. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for information provided in response to this publication. Written responses to this Notice of Intent shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received within 3 business days, in accordance with FAR 13-106-1(b)(1), a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted. A detailed description of the procurement is contained in the attached DRAFT SOW. Responses from industry MUST be submitted via email to tyrone.lewis@ssa.gov by May 27, 2011 at 5pm EST. The subject line of the submission should read "Cable Television Project." Respondents should refer to 3800-11-3342. No phone calls will be accepted, nor will questions be answered with regards to this Notice of Intent.
