- COMPONENT OVERHAUL & PARTS PURCHASE FOR MTU PROPULSION ENGINES 8V396 TE 94 BAR CODING FOR US COAST GUARD ENGINEERING LOGISTICS CENTER MATERIAL This solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business. The Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) has a requirement for the purchase of parts and the repair of components to support the Main Diesel Engines and their control systems for the 87' WPB Patrol Boat fleet. There are numerous OEM parts associated with the 8V396TE94 Main Diesel Engine; the requirement is to obtain the best pricing based upon commercial catalog pricing for new-genuine OEM parts. At the same time, there are two main diesel engines with thirteen (13) repairable components installed. The components will require receipt of the component, initial inspection, opening of the component and provision of an estimate of repairs. Once estimate is approved, components will require repair, reassembly, packaging, marking and delivery. All repairs will be made in accordance with specification number P-260-0460 dated 12/10, entitled Component Overhaul & Parts Purchase for MTU Propulsion Engines 8V396TE94. Packing and marking shall be in accordance with Specification number D-000-100 REV G, dated 02/06, entitled 'Bar Coding for US Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center Material.' Delivery shall be made to the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Receiving Room - Bldg. 88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. It is intended to award a requirements type contract with one base year and four option years. Estimated quantities per year will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available for downloading from FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov on or about 06/17/11. Be advised that this date is estimated at best, and it is the contractor's responsibility to check FedBizOpps regularly for release of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 336611, and the size standard for small business is 1000 employees.
