Description: Sources Sought Notice of Intent The VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach FL, is seeking sources for the below requirement and tentative SOW for the Linen Delivery System upgrade. The source must be able to perform the service with compliance of utilizing the current proprietary system under TRANSVAC SYSTEMS, LLC. without detriment to the system and warranted items. If there are no notable sources the VA intends on procuring the services through other than full and open competition. Overview of the service is to provide and install additional wiring, conduit, proprietary programming, computer cards and racks as needed to provide for controls on outer laundry chute doors. More specifically: "Program complete electro-magnet control, timed on/off depending on requested door open cycles "Add programming to include programmable inner door open times to be accessed at main control panel or at remote desktop PC "Program independent electro magnet controls so these can be accessed from main control panel or at remote desktop PC "Install expanded PLC rack, new output card, cables and electrical feedthrough module "Install all hardware at the control panel including any necessary modifications "Termination and labeling of all wiring at the control panel and at each load station "Download and upgrade all software in the control panel, main system HMI touchscreen, and remote desktop PC "Install conduit running from both risers to the main control panel and adding 1qty 14ga wire at each load station "Add 250' conduit from main control panel to riser 1. Then 300' to top of riser, through interstitials, branching off to each chute "Add 400' conduit from main control panel to riser 2. Then 150' to top of riser, through interstitials, branching off to each chute "#14 THHN control wire from each station control box to the control panel through new conduit "Terminal block to be added to each load station, and new wiring incorporated into existing station design Please contact the undersigned at terry.emory@va.gov in response.
