Description
1) Type of Notification: Sources Sought This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address, (c) point of contact, (d)"number of employees" as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.101 and (e) the amount of "annual receipts" as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19. In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor the work described below. 2) Description: Personal Services (Radiologists). The following is a brief summary of the primary duties that the Radiologists must perform. This list is not all inclusive: Radiologists Review and interpret special procedures and studies obtained in DOD beneficiaries from local and/or regional civilian medical centers, and Veterans Administration Hospitals within twenty-four (24) hours after receipt in the Department of Radiology if requested in writing by the Chief, Department of Radiology. Perform interventional and invasive procedures as necessary. This shall include but not be limited to appropriate counseling of the patient, proper pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions and monitoring, and actual performance of the procedure. 3) Qualifications: All services provided herein shall be performed by a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy who has completed an internship and residency in an accredited US Diagnostic Radiology Training Program and is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. The physician is preferred to have completed Fellowship training in one of the following: musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology, body imaging or mammography (women's imaging). The physician must also be licensed in one of the 50 states or District of Columbia, and able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine through DeWitt Army Community Hospital Credential Committee. The contract provider shall have additional expertise in the obtaining and interpretation of nuclear medicine exams. Such exams would include, but are not limited to: CT/PET, SPECT, myocardial perfusion imaging, skeletal imaging, brain perfusion and glucose metabolic imaging, gastric emptying studies, hepatobiliary imaging, lymphoscintigraphy, pulmonary perfusion and ventilation imaging. Renal function imaging, and thyroid imaging. Contract provider should also be able to perform radionuclide therapeutic procedures such 131I treatment of hyperthyroidism or thyroid cancer. 4) Place of Performance: These services would be performed at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital and/or National Capital Region to include the following locations: National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, MD, Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland; and Kimbrough Army Community Hospital, Ft Meade, MD.
