- Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the Department of Energy solicits expressions of interest from companies concerning a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for Valves. This Request for Information is issued to assist in the development of a solicitation list for the RFP SRNSVALVES511. This RFP will consist of approximately 400 items. It is scheduled to be issued in June 2011. The NAICS Code for this RFP will be 423840. We would like to classify it as a set-aside for small businesses. A Strategic Agreement(s) will be awarded to a supplier who can offer the best value to SRNS, based on pricing, lead time and technical capabilities (ability to manage large volume of business, established partnerships with major manufacturers and distributors, ability to accept electronic transmission of orders via bar code labels, etc). The resulting Strategic Agreement will consist of two modules: An Automated Ordering System module, which will consist of a detailed list of items purchased on a repetitive basis (Market Basket), and a BASIC module that will consist of items that are not identified in the Market Basket. Interested suppliers should submit information addressing the following topics: 1). Brief company history 2). Inventory Capabilities 3). Define web capabilities (i.e. customer ordering, electronic cataloging of items, etc). 4). Identify manufacturers or distributors you currently have a partnerships with 5). Identify existing Agreements/Contracts in place with references and contact information. A supplier's response to this RFI does not guarantee they will be selected to participate in the RFP.
