Description
USDA APHIS PPQ (PPQ) seeks to identify companies that have or are able to produce lures for the following insects. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will not award a contract based onthe information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary. Responses to this publication will not result in a contract. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. 1. Bactrocera zonata 2. Cameraria ohridella 3. Dendrolimus punctatus 4. Diprion pini 5. Enarmonia formosana 6. Massicus raddei 7. Panolis flammea 8. Paysandisia archon 9. Pieris brassicae 10. Rhagoletis cerasi 11. Tetranychus roseus Under the auspices of PPQ, the Cooperative Agriculture Pest Survey (CAPS) Program looks for exotic insects not known to occur in the United States as part of its core activities. This is accomplished with agreements through state departments of agriculture and PPQ field offices. One of the goals of the Survey Supply and Procurement Program (SSPP) is to organize these requests into a simplified requirement for manufacturers. While there is no immediate need for these lures, CAPS has added these 11 pests to its target list. PPQ is looking for the following information for each pest listed: 1) Which lures can a manufacturer produce? 2) What type of presentation would the lure be in? 3) What would the components be? 4) What specific trap should be associated with the lure? There is no immediate need for these products, but a possible need in 2012. And no immediate procurement is pending at this time.
