- This is a Sources Sought Announcement. Responses must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. This announcement is 100% set aside for Veterans Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) that are properly registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry. The Contracting Officer is conducting Market Research that will assist in making appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified VOSB ™s and/or SDVOSB ™s that are capable of providing Court Reporter Services as described below. The procurement of these services falls under the Service Contract Act. The NAICS code is 561492. Seven million dollars is the size standard. The Federal Supply Code is R606. The performance of these services will be at the Alexandria VA Medical Center located at 2495 Shreveport Highway 71, Pineville, LA 71360. On rare occasions, the services may be needed at one of the satellite clinics of the medical center, all within the state of Louisiana. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional expertise and experienced needed to successfully compete for this acquisition. Responses need to include: 1. Company Name; 2. Address; 3. Point of contact; 4. Phone, fax, and e-mail; 5. DUNS number; 6. Tax ID number; 7. Type of Small Business; 8. Veteran owned status; 9. A capability statement that addresses qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described. The Alexandria VA Medical Center is seeking potential bidders on a solicitation that will provide the medical center with Court Reporting Services on an as needed basis. Those VOSB and SDVOSB contractors that can fulfill this requirement need to contact the Contracting Officer for a copy of the solicitation. IMPORTANT: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. All offerors who provide goods or services to the US Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). All interested VOSB and SDVOSB offerors should submit their request for solicitation to George (Bud) Holman (george.holman@va.gov) no later than 4:30 PM CDT, May 31, 2011.
