- SOLICITATION The U. S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), intends to procure construction services for cutting room renovation at the National Marine Fisheries Science Center located at 166 Water Street in Woods Hole, MA The following services are required: Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and materials to repair and adjust the concrete floor in room, perform concrete demolition, place new slab and reinforcement, resurface existing and new concrete floor, widen door, adjust drains and complete other work. T he cutting room floor requiring demolition is approximately 120SF. Temporarily relocate existing equipment, furniture, lockers, tables located in the area requiring saw cutting. This includes any disassembly, disconnection of plumbing fixtures and hardware, furniture to allow for the demolition and placement of a new concrete floor. Reconnect all plumbing and other fixtures and utilities temporarily disconnected or relocated. Resurface existing floor and newly reconstructed floor. Completion time for this project is 30 calendar days after award. This is a total small business set-aside. Estimated Construction cost is $10,000 to $25,000. Award will be made based on best value to the government. The Request for Quotation documents will be available on or about 05/25/2011 and can be uploaded from this website. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Par Part 36 Construction. The Eastern Region, Acquisition Management Division (ERAD), requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
