- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to procure an Aircraft Tool Kit, Part Number RTSK8-02-001 SERD 1402, on a sole source basis with Eaton Aeroquip Group in support of the V-22 assembly. This effort will be procured as a modification to contract N68335-08-C-0377 to exercise option quantity of ten (10). A further option remains for a quantity of five (5). The V-22 Aircraft utilizes Rynglok Fittings, available through the supply system, during assembly and repair of the hydraulic tubing of the aircraft. A V-22 unique Rynglok Fitting Set that contains all tools necessary to remove and install Rynglok fittings sizes 03 through 24 is required. Eaton Aeroquip is the only vendor to have provided this Rynglok Fitting set and it has been satisfactorily tested, verified and approved on the V-22 Aircraft. The Government intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirements to competition, based on the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. This effort will commence approximately thirty (30) days after the date of the subsequent contract.
