- No modification has been made to the soliciattion. This notice is to provide answers to questions that have been posed regarding this soliciation. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION #3 Question 1: Can the closing date for this solicitation and proposals be extended or can the licensing requirement be "phased in" after contract award? Answer 1: We see no just cause for an extension at this time or a "phase in" period. Our current contract expires 06/30/2011, thus it is critical we establish a new contract quickly. The solicitation time frame was determined based on the time requirement needed to acquire licensing in Mississippi for ambulance service, thus allowing all prospective contractors an opportunity to bid on this service. Question 2: According to PWS, this contract only requires a Project Manager to handle all communication with the COR and decision-making on behalf of the Contractor. Do you all want a separate manager that acts only in this capacity, or do you all want an EMT-P to work on an ambulance as well as performing as the Project Manager? Answer 2: The role will be separate. Question 3: When the Contractor transports patients, what's the facility that the patient is usually transported to? Answer 3: Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS Question 4: Also, I would like to make sure that the Contractor is responsible for providing the ambulances. Answer 4: Yes, Contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining the ambulances.
