- The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The NAICS Code is 336611. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721), an 378 Foot "E Class" High Endurance Cutter. The vessel is home ported in 1050 Register St., Charleston, SC 29405. All work will be performed at the cutters home port. The performance period will be Fifty-two (52) calendar days with a start date of 1 August 2011 through 22 September 2011. The scope of the acquisition is for the DOCKSIDE repairs of the USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721), will include, but is not limited to: Temporary Services Single Point Davit Level 2 Inspect and Test Ammunition Elevator Level 2 Inspect, Repair & Test Commissary Hoist (Gen) Level 2 inspect and Repair Warping Capstan (Gen) Level 2 Inspect and Repair Anchor Windlass (Gen) Level 2 Inspect and Repair Evaporator (General) Overhaul Oily Water Separator Overhaul Vacuum Sewage Pump Overhaul Boiler Exhaust Stack Cleaning SSDG Exhaust Piping, Clean Turbine Exhaust Stack uptakes, Clean Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks Inspect and Clean P/W Tank Vent Piping; Clean and Renew Counter Measure Wash Down System; Renew (MM) Deck Coverings (Interior Wet) Seal Electrical Matting; Renew Ordnance Elevator Deck and Bulkhead; Preservation and Renewal King Post Stowage Padeye; Renew Breakers (Degaussing) Inspect and Test Circuit Breakers (60Hz), Inspect and Test Circuit Breakers (400Hz), Inspect and Test All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. Your response is required by 3:00 p.m., (est) on June 2, 2011. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside or Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the FedBizOps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
