Description
Performance Work Statement SOURCES Sought Notice, this is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice Only for Small Businesses. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Small Business, SBA (8(a), HUBZONE, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women-Owned Small Business and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)). The NAICS 423850 (Firefighting equipment and supplies merchant wholesalers) and the size standard is 100 employees applies to this Sources Sought notice and any subsequent contract vehicle. Responses to this sources sought notice shall not constitute response to a solicitation, which is not currently available. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely the Government's discretion. This sources sought notice is not to be constructed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any government assessments. The information received will be utilized to assist in formulating the strategy for competitive requirements. The Department of Navy, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC) is seeking viable sources specializing in the servicing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs) as identified in the attached performance work statement to be accomplished in various locations. These various locations, depending on ship location at the time of any required service, include but are not limited to Boston, MA; Baltimore, Maryland; Earle, NJ; Norfolk, Virginia; Charleston, SC; Mobile, AL; Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; San Diego, California; San Francisco, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; Guam; Singapore; Yokosuka, Japan; Sasebo, Japan; Jebel-Ali, United Arab Emirates; Diego Garcia; and Naples, Italy. To maximize the potential opportunity for small business participation in the acquisition, the Government is seeking input from the small business community regarding their interest and capability in performing some or all of the tasks reflected in the Performance Work Statement. The Government requests demonstration of capability by all interested parties through the following means: 1. Submittal of brief capability statement including area(s) where services can be provided and 2. A copy of a valid American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) approval letter certifying that the company has been audited by ABS, satisfactorily demonstrated the capabilities to perform the services applicable to this performance work statement, and are approved by ABS to provide the services for which ABS surveyors may rely on to make decisions affecting classification or statutory surveys. Only vendors that are able to satisfy the above criteria that have a current and active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations & Certifications (ORCA) should express interest to the Government.
